July Favourites

Hi, it's Amy again!
Today I am going to be sharing with you my July favourites! In these favourites posts, I will be showing you my beauty, fashion, reading and music favourites (and much more). Also, you can click on the product name to check it out on the website.

Beauty

Elf Hypershine gloss in Blossom

To me, this is a classic lip-gloss shade. It is a pretty pink colour that can be worn with just about everything and at any time. Since this is such a versatile shade, I always have this in my purse in case I need it for an emergency. The colour pigmentation of the lip-gloss is slightly sheer so you can put it over a lipstick or you can where it to school (if it is allowed). Personally I like to wear it by itself.

Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Tart
Since it is currently winter in the Southern Hemisphere, I have been leaning towards darker lips. Cherry Tart is a beautiful dark berry shade that have been wearing a lot this month as an everyday wear lip. Although this is a liquid lipstick I would say it is more of a pigmented lip-gloss. Elf has just recently hit Australian stores so you can find these products in K-mart. (Sorry that there is no picture).

Essie Nail polish in Lovie Dovie
This nail polish is an absolute winner in my books. I am a huge fan of pink nail polishes to start with and this particular polish is just so sweet and cute. There is something about it that just makes it want to look at it all day long.

Food

Frosted Chocotasic Poptarts
Poptarts have recently come to Australia so when I saw them at my local Coles I had to swoop in a grab a box. I think that the concept is intriguing seeing that we have nothing like this is Australia. If you don't know, Poptarts are flavoured pastries that heat up in your toaster. Overall I enjoyed these a lot. The chocolate filling isn't as good as Australian chocolate but when everything is combined, it tastes amazing!

Song: Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran
I am not a massive fan of Ed Sheeran's newest album but from it, this is my favourite song. I am a hopeless romantic at heart, and this song is super duper romantic. I love the lyrics and also the melody is so sweet and relaxing.

Film: The Railway Man
This film is based on a true story about a man who was tortured in a WWII Japanese labour camp, leaving him traumatised by his past. I really enjoyed this film. Colin Firth played the part as Eric Lomax incredibly well, conveying such emotion to the screen. Although I have not read the book, I feel like this film did not over exaggerate the truth behind the story.

So those were all of my July favourites! Leave a comment down below saying what your current favourites are and I'll be sure to check them out.

Cheerio!

Peanut butter & banana toasted sandwich recipe

Hi again! It's Amy here today. For this week's post I'm going to be sharing with you a recipe to a sandwich that I have loving recently. This sandwich is great for a snack, breakfast or even lunch. If you have a sweet tooth, this sandwich is the one for you.

Materials needed:

  • Bread- any will do
  • 1 banana
  • Peanut butter
  • Honey
  • Knife
  • Spoon

Method:
  1. Firstly, place 2 slices of bread in the toaster to toast. In the meantime, start cutting up your banana into slices whatever size you like.
  2. When your toast is ready, place them onto a plate and then spread some peanut butter onto them. Since I love peanut butter, I spread it on both slices but you can just do only one.
  3. Then place on your banana to the side on toast with peanut butter.
  4. Lastly, as a finishing touch, drizzle some honey onto the other side of the toast and then put both slices of bread together.

So there you have it. My ultra special sandwich. It only takes 5 minutes to make so I hope you spare the time to try this recipe out.

Au revoir!
